MRA: You don’t understand anything because you think that the world is a candyland, everybody is like you. You don’t see the abuse. If you want to fight with men overpowering women, go to India or Pakistan.
Me: But the abuse is a margin thing.
MRA: Nope. I showed you statistics.
Me: I also showed you statistics. We can keep showing, but you can’t find any claiming that there are over 10% of fake accusations. But from the real rapes, only half is reported; of this half, only few rapists are caught and punished. Whereas the victims are very often harassed by their families and friends. Some commit suicides.
MRA: A woman reports it to the police, she makes a fuss, destroys a man’s life and she’s protected by the society.

The rest of this I dont care about, so Ive cut a lot of it and bolded the important bit

The Kanin Study.
The Kanin study used the FBI data (still in use) and examined it with due process (as they would any other crime) what they found was that sentencing was that harsh in rape cases that it broke due process meaning that over 40% of all rape cases were false (or charged upon false grounds) as
a
minimum

The Kanin Report is based on a research done between 1978 and 1987 in a small urban community. It considers 109 accusations. It’s not global, it’s not done in a longer period of time, so it’s not relevant for the whole of USA or any other country for that matter. Any person who knows something about statistics knows that.

Besides the definition of fake accusation in Kanin Report is that it’s the victim who has to admit that she wasn’t raped. Not evidence, her own testimony. And victims from small communities are very often pressured to withdraw their claims.

Read a Wikipedia before you start any kind of discussion in that matter.

  1. It used the FBI’s sample data
  2. It considers 109 accusations AND GENERAL STATISTICS, its more than that
  3. Im sure your 10% isnt global either, in fact global statistics are worth shit, anyone who knows anyhting knows that
  4. Actually the definition of the Kanin’s study false accusation is a charge that got proesecuted without sufficient evidence

Read the actual study not the wikipedia page next time

Ok, here you go:

Abstract of the documentWith the cooperation of the police agency of a small metropolitan community, 45 consecutive, disposed, false rape allegations covering a 9 year period were studied. These false rape allegations constitute 41% the total forcible rape cases (n = 109) reported during this period. These false allegations appear to serve three major functions for the complainants: providing an alibi, seeking revenge, and obtaining sympathy and attention. False rape allegations are not the consequence of a gender-linked aberration, as frequently claimed, but reflect impulsive and desperate efforts to cope with personal and social stress situations.

The Method sectionThis investigation is essentially a case study of one police agency in a small metropolitan area (population = 70,000) in the Midwestern United States.

Additionally, for a declaration of false charge to be made, the complainant must admit that no rape had occurred. She is the sole agent who can say that the rape charge is false.

There’s nothing about FBI or more general data. He quotes other reports just to give a background to his study. Can you read a paragraph, understanding what it’s about? Did you read the criticism of the study, which basically says it’s unscientific, that it’s just a report from a concrete place and time?

Also, the point 3, hahahahahahaha, it’s the classic MRA: “Give me statistics” or “I have statistics” *is given statistics/his statistics are proven to be bullshit* “Statistics don’t show nothing, they’re falsified!” crap. Don’t give me that, please. 10% is the highest percentage given in reliable studies (reliable=coming from an area bigger than a small tow, done in a bigger span of time, having scientific criteria). Some of the studies say that false accusations constitute less than 1% of all rape cases.
